GOAL SETTING

The point of goal setting is to have something to drive you to build good habits and to build momentum toward your long term goals! They are little wins that give you an extra boost when

you need it!

What makes an effective goal? Is it SMART?

  • S-pecific

  • M-easurable

  • A-ttainable

  • R-elevant

  • T-ime-based

Your goal needs to meet these 5 criteria to be an effective goal! I want to lose 5 pounds is not an effective goal. Here are some examples of objective goals that meet the criteria

  • 7 to 30 days under calories or perfect days.

  • 3-7 days of working out in the next 7 days.

  • 7-8 hours of quality sleep.

  • Eat a serving of vegetables for dinner for 7 consecutive days.

  • Drink a gallon of water for 7 consecutive days or a combination of these!

These goals can lead to better health, feeling your best and when doing goals like this, the scale will take care of itself! Also, every goal needs a plan orit’s just a wish!

If you set a goal with us, we will keep up with it, check in with you to see how it’s going and help you come up with a specific plan to go and make it happen but we will start small! Then we will

celebrate with you WHEN you achieve it!
